Fabulous Indian Food I consider myself to be a connoisseur of Indian Food and I had my first takeaway from The Indian Place last night and I have got to say the food was absolutely beautiful. The staff were most helpful also and spent time talking me through the menu which, whilst I am not a vegetarian, was a little unfamiliar. I will be going back, regularly.
Indian food Not a vegetarian or vegan but if you are this place is amazing. I’m not and was sceptical but very authentic Indian food taste was amazing. They don’t have a bar but if your like us you like a beer with a curry pop next door to to Alle station happy for you to take it next door. Will definitely be back. Definitely support your local places
Extremely tasty food We booked via the online system. I was sent a reply back very quickly to say the table was booked for us. The restaurant is small so booking is advised. We also pre ordered online to prevent having to wait too long.
The chap serving us was lovely and friendly. The food menu was clearly marked for gluten free and vegan choices.
The food itself was absolutely delicious. Personally I’m a gluten free vegetarian so I was in my element. My partner is a meat eater but was very pleased with his paneer curry.
Meat was not necessary.
There is a soft drink menu but the restaurant is more than happy for you to get alcohol from the Ale Station next door and have it with your meal. So we had a lovely meal with a decent pint of cider.
We will definitely return when we are next in Chorley. Apparently they also do deliveries to the local areas.
Thank you Indian place.
The Indian Place started off as a small stall, in the heart of Chorley with a few cups of traditionally spiced Indian tea with many savoury street food choices to go with it. Today, we are the only 100% Vegetarian and Vegan street food and curry cafe in Chorley, that’s approved by the Vegetarian Society. Yes, all our menu items are approved by the Vegetarian Society! As we grew, so did our menu choices. Our curries, samosa, biryani, naan breads, chaats and those secret street food recipes that we keep introducing to Chorley have got so much love, across Lancashire and surrounding counties. Our menu is a constantly evolving page of our book. We are inspired by the art of flavours on the streets of India, the “dhaba” (roadside restaurant) styled curries and belly-friendly spices.
Our story is all about quality vegetarian and vegan street food, that comes from the heart of India, to the heart of Chorley. We offer a range of authentic & delicious Indian dishes in Chorley. It is a family run business that was founded as a market stall in Chorley’s famous Farmer’s Market. The masala chai and samosa that started off as two key items in the market stall, led to a dream of serving Chorley’s finest Vegetarian and Vegan, Indian street food options. Today, our cafe is Lancashire’s only Indian that is approved by Vegetarian Society. We don’t do meat dishes, but reviews from the biggest meat-eaters in Chorley suggests, we can make you forget the craving for meat in your curry.
We are all about flavours. We don’t go for the spice. We want to bring you the flavours of India rather than the routine gradient of sauces that range from mild to super hot, because to us that is just a little chilli to a LOT of chilli. In this family run kitchen, we cook what we would eat on a daily basis at home. It is true comfort food served in a very cosy, warm and welcoming Indian cafe. We are highly motivated by the happiness and comfort our food has brought to so many people in and around Chorley and their testimonials on our Facebook page says it all. We are constantly expanding and changing our menu so when you visit us, be ready to surprise your taste buds.
After all, we want to cater a taste for every palate!
